About the Founding Directors
Paul and Eleanor Stern received the call over 50 years ago to one day do orphanage ministry and now in their golden years, they are fulfilling the vision. Their mininstry began in Kenya in 1951 - 1953. Since then they have labored in Nigeria, West Africa (1960 - 1970), planted and pastored a church in the US (1973 - 1988), and have traveled extensively in nearly all the continents of the world as adoptive parents to pastors. They are presbyters of Nairobi Lighthouse Church in Nairobi, Kenya as well as founding directors of Kings Kids Village. In April of 2006, they relocated State-side and now reside in Lincoln, Nebraska from where they travel, ministering and speading the good news of the Kingdom and Kings Kids Village.

The Vision of Kings Kids Village

We at Kings Kids Village have a specific vision to care for orphans of Aids victims. One of the greatest needs of orphaned children is to not be separated from their siblings. We have a heart to minister to that specific need. We feel we are set up to do that well.We also believe that God has called us to provide for these children the kind of Christian environment of love, care, and education that will propel them into God’s best for their lives.

Out of the Forgotten

Our motto, “Out of the forgotten will come the begotten” came from a prophetic word spoken over Dad and Mom Stern in 2002. The word "begotten" means "your very own". The meaning is that children who have been forgotten will be to us as our very own. People who have adopted know what we mean by this. Where satan meant to destroy the fortunes and potential of Africa’s greatest resource (people), God is building great leaders for the nation and continent. Since the greatest leadership comes through influence, these children will grow up to be people who, by their success and character, influence the continent for good. We believe God will help us to raise “kings kids” for Africa.
