PEOPLE WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT KKV EVERYDAY.

Jon & Molly Stern - Directors
Jon and Molly have been serving in Kenya as missionaries since 1984: as associate pastors (1984-1986) in church development (1987-1992), as Bible School teachers (1993-1996), as Swahili Mininstries Coordinators at Niarobi Lighthouse Church (1996 - 1999) and as church planter-pastors (2000 - 2005) of Niarobi Lighthouse Church, Huruma. Since October 2005, they have been full-time at Kings Kids Village as directors of the project.

Nelson and Jane Gichohi - Directors and Advisory Board
Pastor Nelson and Jane are Senior Associate Pastors at Nairobi Lighthouse Church, Nairobi, Kenya since 1990. They have served in so many ways it is hard to list all of them. Since day one of the setting up of Kings Kids Village, they have served on our advisory board. Their counsel has been a great source of help to making KKV what it is today and what it will become in the years to come. As we register KKV, we have invited Nelson to be our Kenyan Director.

Kingsley and Mumbi Kariuki - Advisory Board
Seen here with Joe and Sarah when they were babies, Kingsley and Mumbi have been true friends ever since we joined Staff at NLC in 1996. They are true entrepreneurs having more than 15 companies registered in their names. Their help in providing a prospectus for KKV has helped us in putting a good face on our orphanage in offical lingo.

Dr.Sarah Ndegwa - Advisory Board
Sarah is a practising Ear Nose and Throat specialist at Kenyatta National hospital in Nairobi and has a heart for what the Lord is doing at Kings Kids.

Zedekiah and Mary Mkagwa - House Parents Apt. A
Zedi and Mary are our first house parents at KKV. Jon and Molly have ministered by them since 1987, when they served with them in Machakos, Kenya. They are dearly beloved by all who know them and are providing us with a quality in child rearing that we are hard pressed to find in others. Please pray for us as we seek to keep the standard they are setting as we raise these kids for the glory of God.

Tabitha and Martha - House Mom and Aunty Apt. B
Tabitha Muindi comes to us through many years of being our house worker. She has a great heart for kids and sort of fell into the job of being our second parent at KKV. What a great mom she is. The kids just love her.

Martha is a true gift from God for KKV. She has an incredible servant's heart and loves the children. She werves two roles at KKV. She is an aunty in Apartment B under Tabitha's care and also serves as our medical coordinator and nutritionalist.

Janet and Bancy - House Mom and Aunty Apt. C
Janet comes to us with the experience of raising three daughters by faith as a single mom and a business woman. She is also a trained teacher and has energy by the truck load. The kids in Apartment C love her.

Bancy is the young lady who we met through difficult circumstances. She came to us with five children from another orphanage and has an exceptional heart for the kids.

Joshua and Christabel Obuhatsa - House Parents Apt D
We have known Joshua and Christabel for as long as we have known Zedi and Mary. They were living in Machakos the whole time we were serving there. Joshua is presently lecturing at a nearby Christian Bible College and Christabel just retired from thirty five years as a teacher. Apart from there many academic qualifications, they have successfully raised five of their own children. They come to us as servants of the Lord ready to serve the next generation of Kenyans with passion and godly character.

Peter Mung'ang'a
Peter is like a son to us ever since we served together at Huruma Lighthouse Church. Although he has no format training in accounting, he is our Office Manager at Kings Kids Village and does an excellent job.
He has a spirit of excellence on him that blesses us daily. He also pastors Nairobi Lighthouse Church Kibera in his spare time.

Lucy (and Martin) Waweru
Lucy is one of our teachers at KKV School - and much more. Her love for children in general caused us to bond from the year 2000 when we planted the Huruma Church where she quickly rose to be our Children's leader. She has since come on staff with us at KKV. She and her husband, Martin, also fill in for us as parents now and then. We are blessed to have them in our team.
